2022's theme is
#Get2HIGround #GetTsunamiReady
Tsunamis can happen at any time of the day, and with little or no warning. Unlike hurricanes, there is no season for tsunamis – they can happen all year round. Earthquakes generally cause tsunamis, and when they occur off the Big Island, tsunami waves can come ashore in less than 5 minutes. Or, if the earthquake occurred off Chile in South America, waves could take about 15 hours to arrive in Hawaii, giving us time to prepare.
Plan Ahead, Be Prepared.
