Outside of damaging thunderstorm winds over 60 mph scattered across the area, several tornadoes briefly occurred within the line of storms. All 6 tornadoes to date were classified as "weak" (5 EF-0 and 1 EF-1) with the majority of the damage to trees. Most structural damage was a result of trees falling on homes. March 31st Severe Weather: In addition to strong to severe thunderstorms that swept across north and central Georgia on the afternoon of March 31st, An EF1 tornado with maximum winds of 105 to 110 mph touched down in central Paulding County on March 15, 2025 at 11:41 PM EST. The tornado spun up within a strong line of thunderstorms moving rapidly towards the northeast. The tornado initially touched down to the southwest of Sudie, GA near Pace Creek Lake, where multiple large pine trees were downed and an outbuilding was destroyed. Based on the Climate Prediction Center's outlook for April, Northwest Georgia has 33-40% chance of above normal temperatures while central Georgia has a 40-50% chance of above normal temperatures.
