A National Weather Service damage assessment team surveyed the storm damage in Winston County. It was determined that the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado was rated an EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds around 75 MPH. The total tornado damage path was less than 0.1 of a mile long and was 20 yards wide at its widest point.
This tornado touched down and lifted near Enon, on County Road 6649. Several hardwood trees were uprooted along the short path. Several small limbs of pine trees were snapped off with one pine tree snapped off aloft. Minor flooding also occurred as these tropical rain bands moved through.
