A National Weather Service Damage Assessment Team has surveyed the storm damage in St. Clair County between Moody and Odenville. It has been determined the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated an EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds around 95 mph.

The tornado touched down near the intersection of US Highway 411, Meyers Road, and Church Road, near the Bethel Baptist Church. The tornado traveled northeastward and lifted just northeast of State Highway 174. At least 5 homes suffered extensive roof damage. At least 4 outbuildings were completely destroyed. Approximately 100 trees were either uprooted or snapped off. A glass enclosed sun-room was completely destroyed.
