Chandler Mountain Tornado...November 10, 2002
A weak tornado touched down on Chandler Mountain causing minor damage to about three houses and downing several trees. The tornado began at 10:41 pm when it touched down near the intersection of Mount Lebanon Road and CR 42. Traveling northeast the tornado actually dropped off the mountain causing minor damage to a house and outbuilding and downing several trees before ending fairly abruptly at 10:44 pm.
The total path length was 3.2 miles, with a width of 50 yards. No deaths or injuries were reported. This tornado was rated an F1.
Tornado Watch Number 748 was issued at 4:35 pm. A Tornado Warning was issued for St. Clair County at 10:35 pm.
