NWS Meteorologists surveyed damage in north central Coosa County and determined it was the result of a tornado.

The same storm that produced the EF-0 tornado either side of Lay Lake went on to spawn a brief tornado of EF-0 intensity along Coosa Road 56. The only damage observed consisted of snapped and uprooted trees.
