National Weather Service meteorologists have surveyed the damage in northern Walker County and determined that it was the result of an EF-0 tornado which occurred right after the Nauvoo microburst. After the microburst, a tornado spun up and traveled east-northeast. As the tornado crossed Slick Lizard Road, a mobile home sustained moderate damage after a tree fell on it. As the tornado traveled further to the east-northeast, a house sustained shingle damage and an outbuilding was destroyed. The tornado lifted after crossing Alabama Hwy 5. Along the path, dozens of hardwood and softwood trees were uprooted and snapped.
