Overview

Snow developed across portions of central Indiana ahead of an approaching area of low pressure. A narrow band of intense snow produced amounts of 8-12", with some locations receiving over 2" per hour. The 10.2"inches of snow at Indianapolis set the daily snowfall record and became the second highest one day total for the month of March. Visibility at the Indianapolis International Airport was a quarter of a mile or less from about 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM EDT.
