Thunderstorms developed ahead of an area of low pressure and a cold front during the late evening of June 5 and the early morning of June 6, 2010. Below is a surface map and radar image for the USA valid at 2:00 AM EDT June 6:
These storms brought multiple tornadoes to northern sections of Indiana, including 2 in Carroll County. Two tornadoes originated from the same thunderstorm, one tornado in western Carroll County near Yeoman, the other in eastern Carroll County.
The first touchdown actually occurred just west of Lake Freeman in White County around 1:00 AM EDT. This tornado caused minor tree and structural damage on the west side of the lake. The tornado crossed the lake with further light damage on the east side of the lake near county road 875 N. Additional and more significant damage occurred at US 421 and county road 875 N with a church receiving roof damage and a boat storage facility having a structure destroyed. This tornado tracked another couple miles, destroying a barn near 750 N and 625 W before lifting. Based on the damage it appears this was an EF1 tornado with winds near 100 mph.
A second touchdown occurred near 700 N and 500 E in eastern Carroll County around 1:25 AM EDT. This second touchdown destroyed two hog barns before continuing on into Cass County. Based on the damage observed this appeared to be a high EF1 tornado with winds approaching 110 mph.
Here are maps of the tornado tracks (locations are approximate):

Tornado 1 also caused some minor damage to the facility that hosts the transmitter for the NOAA Weather Radio that serves the Lafayette area (WXK-74). Below are a couple of pictures from that site.

Below are radar images of the storms across Carroll County. Both reflectivity and storm relative velocity images are posted. In the Storm Relative Velocity images, green colors represent winds blowing toward the radar, and red colors indicate winds blowing away from the radar. The bright green and bright red pixels adjacent to each other in the velocity data represent the core of the storm's circulation that produced the tornadoes. The radar is located southeast (toward lower right) of Carroll County. Click any image to enlarge.
