June 21-22, 2010 Severe Storms and Flooding

Strong to severe storms moved across Central Indiana late on June 21 and into June 22, bringing damaging winds and heavy rain.

Surface Map

Above is a surface map from 5:00 AM EDT June 22.

The heavy rains caused a couple of dams to fail in Hendricks County. This caused flooding along White Lick Creek in Hendricks and Morgan Counties.

Mooresville Hydrograph

Above is a hydrograph that shows the stage (height) of the creek at Mooresville. The creek there peaked at a Moderate Flood stage of 20.81 feet during the evening of June 22.
