The National Weather Service in Indianapolis, IN confirmed a weak tornado occurred about 3 miles southeast of Trafalgar, IN in southern Johnson County at approximately 7:30 PM EDT on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.  The following is a radar scan of base reflectivity from 7:32 PM including the storm associated with the tornado.  The second image below is the estimated path based on damage found Wednesday morning (click the image to enlarge).

The damage from this tornado is rated at EF0, associated with winds ranging from 45-85 miles per hour.  Damage seen in a survey conducted by the National Weather Service on the morning of Wednesday, July 21, 2010 included several trees snapped in half or uprooted, damage to a shed where the tin roof was littered into an open field, and tin siding embedded into the ground (seen below, click to enlarge).  Matted down corn with a convergent pattern was also found in the location where the touchdown occurred.  Several witnesses also reported lots of debris in the air at the time of the tornado verified by scattered branches in fields and onto power lines.  Some of the debris cloud associated with the tornado can be seen in the second image below (click to enlarge), which was provided by Linda Cooper Levy.
