Subject: Change to flood impact categories for river forecast
services at Sugar Creek at Crawfordsville (CRWI3)

Effective April 5, 2022, flood impact categories for the Sugar Creek
at Crawfordsville river forecast location, (NWS identifier CRWI3)
will change. These changes to flood impact categories are necessary
due to the relocation of the gage from just upstream of the bridge
at U.S. Highway 231 to the bridge at Lafayette Ave. Action/Issuance
stage will change from 4.0 feet to 12.0 feet. Minor flood stage will
change from 8.0 feet to 15.0 feet. Moderate flood stage will change
from 10.0 feet to 17.0 feet. Major flood stage will change from 14.0
feet to 21.0 feet. River forecasts will be issued when river levels
at this location reach, or are expected to reach action stage.
