Details:

  1. 11/13/1951:  Took a sporadic 50 mile path from Mason City, northeast across Tazewell County into McLean County.
  2. 3/14/1957:  This moved northeast across the eastern part of Mason City, damaging a dozen homes.
  3. 12/18/1957:  Damaged a few buildings on the southeast side of Mason City.
  4. 8/19/1961:  Brief tornado in the Matanzas Beach area southwest of Havana, destroying a boat dock.
  5. 1/24/1967:  Moved parallel to the tornado listed in the next entry, approximately 3 miles away.
  6. 1/24/1967:  Touched down 3 miles south of Snicarte and moved northeast for about 5 miles.  One person was killed and 3 others were injured.
  7. 5/15/1968:  This tornado touched down near Easton, and moved northeast to the Logan County line east of Natrona.  Most of the damage occurred near Natrona, where 15 homes were severely damaged.
  8. 7/12/1972:  Brief touchdown 2 miles northwest of Manito.
  9. 12/4/1973:  Moved through Forest City, injuring two children due to flying glass.
  10. 6/14/1974:  Intermittent touchdown reported 3 miles west of Mason City.
  11. 6/19/1974:  Touched down near the Tazewell County line northwest of San Jose. 
  12. 6/19/1974:  Touched down in Mason City.
  13. 11/29/1975:  First touched down 5 miles southeast of Havana, and took an intermittent 19 mile path northeast across the county.  Extensive damage occurred near the beginning of the track, and also near the end of the track near Manito.
  14. 4/13/1981:  This tornado took an intermittent 32 mile path.  First touching down in Lewistown (Fulton County), it moved southeast to near Havana before tracking more eastward.  The tornado was mostly aloft as it moved across the central portion of Mason County, then touched down again before moving into Logan County.
  15. 11/18/1985:  Brief touchdown 12 miles south-southwest of Havana.
  16. 6/2/1987:  Brief touchdown in Mason City.
  17. 11/27/1990:  Touched down near the Sand Ridge State Forest, destroying a mobile home.
  18. 5/13/1995:  This strong tornado touched down along the Illinois River northeast of Goofy Ridge in extreme northern Mason County.  It moved northeast across the Sand Ridge State Forest into Tazewell County, finally lifting near Tremont, after taking a path of about 25 miles.  In Mason County, 23 people were injured, as over 36 homes and trailers were damaged or destroyed.
  19. 4/19/1996:  Touched down in Bath and tracked for 9 miles to the northeast.  It caused major damage to one home in Bath, and minor damage to 11 others.  It also destroyed numerous farm buildings.
  20. 4/19/1996:  This tornado touched down 2 miles southwest of Easton, and moved northeast for 9 miles (lifting briefly 3-1/2 miles northeast of Easton).  It destroyed 2 homes and severely damaged 5 others, and lifted the roof off the high school.
  21. 4/7/1998:  Touched down 3 miles southwest of Snicarte, and was on the ground for 3 miles.  It destroyed several outbuildings and damaged a few houses.
  22. 4/7/1998:  This tornado moved north across Bath, severely damaging 9 homes and causing lesser damage to 34 others.  The fire station was also damaged.
  23. 4/7/1998:  Brief touchdown 3 miles southwest of Havana.
  24. 4/7/1998:  First touched down in southeast Fulton County northwest of Havana. It crossed the Illinois River and damaged 3 homes in the Baldwin Beach area.  It took an intermittent path after that, before dissipating near the fish hatchery.
  25. 6/1/1999:  This tornado first touched down in Fulton County, 4 miles northeast of Marbletown, before moving into Mason County 4-1/2 miles southwest of Havana.  It damaged several homes and garages.
  26. 8/18/2001:  Brief touchdown 5 miles north of Mason City, causing some building damage.
  27. 5/10/2003:  This tornado touched down just north of Havana, and was on the ground for 9 miles. Most of the damage was in the Quiver Beach area.
  28. 5/10/2003:  Touched down 2 miles southwest of Manito, and moved northeast across town, damaging 24 homes.
  29. 5/10/2003:  Touched down 1 mile east of Manito, and lifted near the Tazewell County line.  It destroyed several barns and a shed.
  30. 5/30/2003:  Touched down just west of Forest City, and moved east across town before moving into southern Tazewell County.
  31. 7/8/2009:  Brief touchdown in an open field 2 miles east-southeast of Easton.
  32. 4/15/2011:  Touched down 6.5 miles west-southwest of Easton, and moved north for 3 miles.  Several sheds were damaged, and a house was pushed a few inches off its foundation.  One person was injured by flying glass.
  33. 9/10/2015:  Touched down 3.5 miles southwest of Kilbourne, and quickly dissipated after being on the ground for 0.2 miles. One home sustained shingle and siding damage, and numerous power lines were knocked down in the area.
  34. 3/06/2017:  This tornado touched down 2.2 miles north-northwest of Easton, and moved northeast. Click here for more details. 
  35. 12/1/2018:  This was part of a historic late-season tornado outbreak in central Illinois. It touched down 4.5 miles west of Snicarte near Chain Lake, and was on the ground for 1.7 miles.
  36. 12/1/2018:  Touched down 1 mile south of Poplar City and was on the ground for over 11 miles. Click here for more details. 
  37. 3/23/2021:  Touched down 3 miles northwest of Mason City, damaging 3 power poles along its northeast-ward track.
  38. 3/5/2022:  Touched down 4.4 miles northeast of Kilbourne, and knocked over 6 irrigation systems and damaged several trees before dissipating a mile east of Easton.
  39. 8/1/2022:  Touched down 2.5 miles north of Mason City and tracked southeast, causing minor damage.
