A strong mesoscale convective system (MCS) tracked east-southeastward through parts of central Illinois early in the morning of June 17, 2022, bringing damaging winds, areas of very heavy rainfall over 5 inches in a few spots, and a few reports of hail up to 1 inch diameter (quarter size).Wind & Hail:
