June Climate - Key Points

  • Below normal rainfall continued to affect much of central and southeast IL
  • Monthly rain deficits of 1-3" contributed to abnormally dry soil conditions west of a Peoria, to Lincoln, to Springfield line
  • Near to slightly above normal rainfall was observed along and north of the I-74 corridor
  • Temperatures were several degrees above normal across the entire region
