High chances of rain and storms returns this weekend. There is a low chance of freezing rain for NE AL and southern middle TN late Sat into early Sun. For those that still have holiday decorations up, it will also be WINDY Sunday and Monday! Make sure to secure them and any other loose objects as they may be blown over or blown away. It will then dry out and become colder early next week, with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens to mid 20s.
The NOAA NWS Climate Prediction Center has the Tennessee Valley outlooked for a medium chance of much below normal temperatures on January 11th. This means overnight/morning low temperatures have a medium to high chance of dropping to 19-22 degrees F or lower. Are you prepared? Be sure to protect pipes, check in with elderly friends/family/neighbors, and stay up to date with the latest forecast.
