Greenbrier (F0) [ Back to April 7 Home ] Another short lived F0 tornado touched down just east of Interstate 65 along Interstate 565, about 8 miles west of Huntsville, near Greenbrier Road. This tornado was very brief and was confirmed by trained weather spotters and law enforcement agencies. The only damage was to a road sign that was blown over. The path length of this tornado was around 30 yards...with a path width of 50 yards. Maximum wind speed with this tornado was 60 miles an hour. Sugar Creek (F1) [ Back to April 7 Home ] An F1 tornado with maximum wind speeds at 80 miles an hour touched down in the Sugar Creek Estates community along Sugar Creek in western Limestone County. This tornado maintained a path length of three-quarters of a mile, with a path width of 200 yards. Fifteen large trees were knocked down by the tornado.
