A frigid cold airmass will bring significantly colder weather across the eastern two thirds of the country early this week. Temperatures will tie or break many records across the Southeast through tonight. Moderate to heavy lake effect snow will continue downwind of the Great Lakes. AT 610 PM CDT RADAR AT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN HUNTSVILLE 
INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN MADISON COUNTY IN THE VICINITY OF NEW 
MARKET. 

THIS STORM IS MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT AROUND 40 MILES PER HOUR. 

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A 
BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
