Below freezing overnight low temperatures are forecast through the mid-week. Are you prepared? Be sure to protect the 4 P's: People, Pets, Pipes, and Plants!
Protect people through minimizing time outdoors, preparing for power outages, and checking on elderly & other vulnerable people to make sure they're ok. Protect pets by keeping them warm, dry, and indoors as much as possible. Ensure their food and water does not freeze and limit their time outside. Protect pipes by insulating them if possible and opening up sink cabinets to expose pipes to heated air. Disconnect hoses and turn off water to sprinklers. Protect plants by knowing their temperature thresholds and covering them up before the cold weather sets in to help retain heat.
