January 10, 2021 Winter Storm


A complex low pressure system moved across Southeast Texas on Sunday, January 10th bringing the first measurable snow to parts of the region in over three years. Generally around 4 to 6 inches of snow fell in portions of Burleson, Brazos, Madison, and Houston counties. A trace to 3 inches fell in portions of Washingston, Grimes, Walker, and Trinity Counties. The highest snow report received was 8.5 inches in northern Madison County just south of Normangee. A wintry mix of rain and sleet was reported as far south as the City of Houston and Sugarland.
