Changes to Webpage Links

Links to common products on NWS webpages are changing on Monday. This affects webpages with "product.php" in the address, and includes the Area Forecast Discussion (AFD), climate products (CLI), and Public Information Statements (PNS) to name a few. Be sure to update your bookmarks to the new addresses for these webpages. (Please note: the new link will not be active until Monday.)

If you notice that there is a broken link, please email sr-hgx.webmaster@noaa.gov.

To update your bookmarks, simply replace "product.php?site=NWS&product=(name)&issuedby=HGX" with "products/locations/HGX/(name)" where (name) is the three-letter identifier for the product of interest. A listing of NWS product names (and identifiers) is available here.

As an example, the new format for the links will move from:

https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=AFD&issuedby=H GX

to

https://forecast.weather.gov/products/locations/HGX/AFD/1 (can see it working live on Monday)
