Retirement of Aviation Area Forecast (FA) for Hawaii on 1/27/2025

Effective January 27, 2025 at 1900 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the Aviation Area Forecasts (FA) for Hawaii will be retired. All forecast fields included in the Hawaii FA (including flight category, ceiling, visibility, weather, turbulence, icing) will be displayed in a graphical format out 18 hours from the current time (same as the FA). See the Graphical Forecast for Aviation (GFA) on the Aviation Weather Center website and move over the state of Hawaii to see the forecast fields. A tutorial is available here to help you familiarize yourself with the GFA tool. The current text AIRMET will remain in its text format for the time being, and can be found on our website along with all of our aviation weather products.
