The remnants of post-tropical cyclone Linda moved across the state on Monday, August 23, 2021. The low passed north of Maui, across Molokai, and just south of Oahu during the day, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to portions of the area.

Leading rainbands moved over the windward slopes of the Big Island and Maui County on Sunday. Rainfall spread westward across the island chain, with Oahu and Kauai receiving their highest totals on Monday. Peak rainfall rates were mostly 1 to 2 inches, which produced minor flooding on the Big Island, Maui, Molokai, and Oahu. There were no reports of significant flooding.

Winds were strongest across Oahu, with a peak wind gust of 56 mph recorded at Kuaokala Forest Reserve near Kaena Point. A few other locations recorded gusts over 40 mph, as noted below. There were no reports of damage from the winds.
