EST TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A HIGH
WIND WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
7 AM EST TUESDAY. THE HIGH WIND WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS...THE NORTH GEORGIA COUNTIES WITH ELEVATIONS GREATER
  THAN 1500 FT...GENERALLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM SUMMERVILLE
  THROUGH DAWSONVILLE TO CLEVELAND.

* WINDS...SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST AT 25 TO 35 MPH GUSTING TO NEAR 50
  MPH.

* TIMING...BETWEEN 4 PM MONDAY AND 7 AM TUESDAY.

* IMPACTS...TREES...ESPECIALLY THOSE WEAKENED BY FIRES AND THE
  DROUGHT...COULD BE BLOWN DOWN ALONG WITH LARGE BRANCHES AND
  POWER LINES. THESE STRONG WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT FOR
  ANY VEHICLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 35 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 50 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
