A Flood Watch remain in place for a good portion of north Georgia, including the Atlanta Metro, through Thursday morning. Flash flooding and river flooding are possible.
Severe weather is possible in parts of Georgia Wednesday and Wednesday night. This includes a risk for nocturnal tornadoes Wednesday night. Make sure you have a way to receive weather alerts.
Here is a look at how much rainfall we anticipate through Thursday in north and central Georgia. Isolated totals near 6 inches could occur along and north of Interstate 85, with more widespread amounts in the 2 to 4 inch range. Lower rainfall amounts will occur in central Georgia.
