Wind damage to homes, outbuildings or trees was associated with the following reports...

  • 1640 EDT       Tornado reported at Ferguson and De Soto Seed Farm road. Two and one half miles (2.5) Southeast of the junction of highways 195 and 30 in the town of De Soto, GA. This was probably a funnel cloud.
  • 1652 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported sighted near De Soto Seed Farm road and Ferguson road headed towards Americus.
  • 1655 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported at north Lamar road headed Northwest. Six miles Northwest of junction of highways 195 and 30 in De Soto, GA
  • 1657 EDT       Tornado reported at Middle River road headed Northwest. Eight (8) miles east of Americus, GA.
  • 1713 EDT    &nnbsp;  Funnel Cloud East of highway 195 North headed Northwest. Nine miles east of Americus, GA.
  • 1713 EDT       Funnel Cloud sighted at highway 271 North and Andersonville, GA headed Northwest.
  • 1720 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported at Mid River road headed Northwest. Eight to nine (8 to 9)miles East of Americus, GA.
  • 1723 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported at Upper River road moving Northwest. Seven miles Northeast of Americus, GA.
  • 1739 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported highway 195 North and Lamar road headed northwest. Four (4) miles north of De Soto, GA.
  • 1742 EDT       Two Funnel Clouds moving along side each other reported at highway 280 West, just outside Americus, GA moving Northwest. One to one and one half (1 to 1.5) miles Southwest of Americus, GA.
  • 1747 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported at Upper River road moving Northwest. Seven Northeast of Americus, GA.
  • 1751 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported at highway 45 and Youngs Mill road just outside of Plains, GA.
  • 1751 EDT       Tornado reported (funnel cloud with circulation near the ground) at Ferguson road three miles Southeast of De Soto, GA. This second occurrence in this area resulted in the destruction of four widely separated mobile/modular homes.
  • 1804 EDT       Funnel Cloud reported at highways 195 and 27 moving northwest.
  • 1813 EDT       Wind and tree damage to home and outbuildings on Lane Store road. Eight and one half (8.5) miles east of Americus, GA.
  • 1825 EDT       Within the town of De Soto. High wind knocked over 10 or more large trees. Wind and tree damage to homes. A mattress was found up about 25 feet in an Oak tree. No funnel reported.
  •
