A wet morning will be in store with showers and thunderstorms, across the eastern half of the region. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm and locally heavy rain will remain possible. as well. A dry afternoon will be expected as the rain advances to the east with no more low clouds but do expect for some high clouds to linger. Val Verde County has an elevated to critical fire danger thanks to the lack of rain last night, breezy northwesterly winds and low humidity levels.
Sunny skies prevail with comfortable humidity from Friday through Sunday. This will result in mild afternoons but cool mornings. Humidity gradually rises early to middle of next week with increasing clouds. The warmest day of the week will be on Monday where afternoon highs could challenge the daily record highs around the Austin area.
