...APRIL 20TH CLINTON COUNTY TORNADO OVERVIEW...

ON TUESDAY APRIL 20TH BETWEEN 708 PM AND 715 PM, A TORNADO
TOUCHED DOWN IN CENTRAL CLINTON COUNTY ABOUT 4.5 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF DELMAR...OR 5 MILES NORTHWEST OF WELTON. THE TORNADO WAS
ON THE GROUND ABOUT 1.5 MILES AND WAS ABOUT 100 YARDS WIDE, DAMAGING
A BARN AND METAL OUTBUILDING ON A FARM. A GROUND SURVEY OF
THE DAMAGE ESTIMATED THE WIND AT 75 MPH...WHICH WOULD CATEGORIZE
THE TORNADO AS A LOW-END F1 ON THE FUJITA TORNADO DAMAGE SCALE.
