Heavy Lake Effect Snow; Subfreezing Temperatures in the Eastern U.S.

A multi-day heavy lake effect snow event is expected downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario through New Year's Day. Consolidation of NWS Flood Products

Effective on or after November 4, 2021, the National Weather Service (NWS) will implement the consolidation and/or reformatting of Flood Watches, Warnings, and Advisories. This action will allow us to streamline the types of flood products issued and make them more effective in communicating important flood-related information to the public.
