A Pacific storm system will track through the Northwest U.S. today then across the Northern Plains, Upper Midwest and Great Lakes Thursday into Friday. A forward propagating MCS/bow echo moved from northwest into south central Kansas during the late afternoon and evening hours on 13 August. Widespread damaging winds occurred along the entire path of the bow echo. The greatest damage occurred in Ellis County, where winds of at least 90 mph occurred in localized areas.
