  • Dense fog can be expected between Cheyenne and Laramie overnight.  Visibilities along sections of Interstate 80 will drop to less than one quarter of a mile at times making for hazardous driving conditions.  Motorists should slow down when encountering dense fog and be alert for slower or stopped vehicles ahead of them.  
  • River Flood Warnings remain in effect. River flooding will continue along portions of the Laramie River and the North Platte River in southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle.  The North Platte River at Mitchell, Nebraska is forecast to rise to 9.4 feet late this week.    
  • Smaller streams and creeks in the higher elevations of southeast Wyoming show increased flows given warm temperatures from earlier in the weekend.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms Monday may cause additional rises and will need to be monitored closely.  Persons living near  rivers and creeks in southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle should remain flood aware for the next several days.
