A rare long track derecho event occurred Saturday, June 6th across the Utah/Colorado border all the way through North Dakota.

Combined Severe Thunderstorm Warnings from Weather Forecast Offices Grand Junction, Boulder, Pueblo, Riverton, Cheyenne, North Platte, Rapid City and Aberdeen totaled 112 all together.

The Storm Prediction Center noted that this event was the most significant derecho since the 8 May 2009 Ozarks event.
