Snow Across the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast; Unsettled Weather in the West

Light to moderate snow will continue into Saturday over the Great Lakes, Central Appalachians, and Northeast. This weekend into next week, a series of atmospheric rivers will bring gusty winds, periods of heavy rain, and mountain snow to northern California and the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking college students to volunteer at our office for Spring Semester 2025.

The deadline for applications for volunteering in the Spring of 2025 is

Friday, November 1, 2024.

The goal of our Student Volunteer Program is to allow the volunteer to gain experience in the operations of a National Weather Service Forecast Office and a River Forecast Center.

Interested students should review the flyer below, be prepared to upload a cover letter, resume, and transcript, and fill out the application form.
