THE FOLLOWING IS A FINAL ASSESSMENT FOR THE DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED OVER BETWEEN MUNCY AND HUGESVILLE ON JUNE 19, 2007. * EVENT DATE: JUNE 19, 2007 * ESTIMATED START TIME: 450 PM * ESTIMATED END TIME: 457 PM * EVENT TYPE: DOWNBURST WITH AND EMBEDDED TORNADO (EF-O) * EVENT LOCATION: BETWEEEN MUNCY AND HUGESVILLE * PEAK WIND: 65 TO 70 MPH * AVERAGE PATH WIDTH: DOWNBURST WIDTH WAS NEARLY 1 MILE WIDE...WHILE THE TORNADO WIDTH WAS 50 TO 70 YARDS WIDE. * PATH LENGTH: THE DOWNBURST PATH LENGTH WAS ABOUT 3.5 MILES...WHILE THE TORNADO LENGTH WAS ABOUT 1 MILE LONG. * INJURIES: ZERO INJURIES * FATALITIES: ZERO FATALITIES * DISCUSSION/DAMAGE: THE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCED A DOWNBURST WITH AN EMBEDDED TORNADO. THIS THUNDERSTORM CREATED A DAMAGE PATH THAT WAS OVER 3 MILES LONG AND SPORATIC LIGHT DAMAGE WAS APPARENT IN A MILE WIDE SWATH. THE TORNADO STARTED JUST NORTHEAST OF MUNCY AND WAS ON THE GROUND FOR ABOUT 1 MILE. THE WIDTH VARIED FROM 50 TO 70 YARDS WIDE. DOZENS OF TREES WERE KNOCKED DOWN AND DOZENS MORE HAD BROKEN BRANCHES AND LOST LIMBS. A FEW STRUCTURES HAD MINOR DAMAGE.
