Nor'easter Bringing Dangerous Coastal Conditions to the Mid-Atlantic; Pacific Storm to Impact the Southwest U.S.

A Nor'easter well off the East Coast will slowly track north this week and may gain some subtropical characteristics. Strong onshore winds will bring flooding, dangerous marine conditions, and beach erosion along the Mid-Atlantic coast. Periods of heavy snow over the past 7 days have created vast amounts of snowfall in the mountains. Some places have likely received over 100 inches in remote areas of the mountains. Numerous avalanches have also occurred with portions of I-70 and other roads being closed at times. According to CAIC some of these avalanches have been 100 Year Events.
