The tornado moved eastward and crossed Highway 25 and lifted 1 mile north of Calera. Two trailers were demolished and several were overturned and damaged. Several trees were uprooted, several barns were damaged, and several homes were damaged. A large industrial building and cafe were wrecked. Two injuries occurred in one of the trailers. At least 15 homes were demolished, 25 homes were damaged, 3 trailers and 10 barns were destroyed. One motel had extensive damage where 30 trucks and automobiles were damaged. About 2500 acres of timber were destroyed. Most of the injuries occurred in the first few miles of the tornado damage path. Many acres of unharvested corn was destroyed.
