A tornado struck the southwest part of the city. The tornado moved from south to north. Numerous houses and several commercial buildings were damaged. Several cars were turned over, plate glass windows were broken and utility poles were knocked down. The tornado apparently was associated with Tropical System Ethel.

A brief tornado formed due to Tropical System Ethel. The tornado destroyed one barn, damaged one home, and uprooted several trees. The tornado also stripped an entire cotton field.
The tornado apparently was associated with Tropical System Ethel.

A pilot observed two small funnel clouds and these funnel clouds were in contact with the ground. The observation was made about 10 miles south of Greenville. No damage was located in rural Butler County.

A brief tornado touchdown occurred in a rural area near Scottsboro. One barn was destroyed and many pine trees were snapped off along the short path.

A tornado moved southwest to northeast. Two service stations, a general store, a skating rink, and a lodge hall were destroyed. Major damage also occurred at a church.

A tornado briefly touched down as it moved south southwest to north northeast. One frame home was destroyed and several outbuildings were also destroyed. Trees were mangled as damage was extensive. Four people in the home escaped injury.

A tornado touched down on the outer edge of major wind damage event. The tornado caused damage mainly to trees on the northern side of Satsuma.

The tornado moved east northeast. One frame home, a barn and two farm buildings were destroyed and several cattle were killed near Peterman. Two homes and several other buildings were damage on the east side of Peterman. Numerous trees were blown down along the damage path.
