NWS meteorologists confirmed that an EF-0 tornado with estimated peak winds of 80 MPH touched down in Rainbow City. 10 to 15 pine trees were snapped and a few hardwood trees were uprooted. Several HVAC units were blown off the roof at the Rainbow City Town Hall on U.S. Highway 411 and minor structure damage occurred at the Spring Lake Lodge Apartments. The path length was approximately 0.7 of a mile, and the maximum width was estimated at 50 yards.
