National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed the damage just north of Marion Junction. It has been determined that the damage was consistent with a tornado. Winds were estimated around 90 mph. The tornado touched down just north of County Road 58 and lifted northeast at County Road 944. A metal warehouse sustained considerable damage to its outer walls and roof. The damage path was 0.18 miles long and 100 yards wide at its widest point.
A Tornado Warning was in effect from 703 pm until 8 pm.
