Mathews EF-0 Tornado (Montgomery Co)

Event Summary

NWS meteorologists surveyed damage near the Mathews Community and determined it was the result of a brief tornado.

The tornado touched down just southwest of the intersection of US Highway 82 and Old Pike Road. The tornado crossed Old Pike Road and snapped a few trees before dissipating a short distance to the east. Also, a tornado debris signature was observed from the KMXX radar.
