National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed the damage in southwestern Pickens County and determined it was the result of an EF-1 tornado.

The tornado formed just across the Mississippi state line in Noxubee County where it was observed on video in an open field. Damage mainly consisted of snapped and uprooted trees as it moved northeastward across Boyd Road and Highway 32 as an EF1 tornado. An irrigation pivot was also knocked over. A residence on Perry Long Road sustained partial roof damage right before the tornado dissipated.

Special thanks to WFO Jackson for completing this survey.
