National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed the damage in Southwestern Dallas County and determined it was the result of an EF-0 tornado.

The tornado touched down near State Road 66 and east of County Road 109. At this spot, only some large branches were snapped off. The tornado continued northeast through pastureland where additional minor tree damage was observed. The tornado lifted just north of County Road 109 where a large softwood tree was uprooted. The tornado damage path was 1.07 miles long and was 75 yards wide. The maximum winds were estimated around 65 mph.
