A National Weather Service Damage Assessment Team has surveyed the storm damage in Talladega County near the town of Alpine and has determined that the damage was caused by a weak tornado.

The brief, weak tornado touched down along CR 46 (Grist Mill Road) and tracked eastward. The tornado crossed Reynolds Mill Road and lifted. This location is just east of Alpine or 2.5 miles northwest of Winterboro. One home suffered front porch damage, several softwood trees were either snapped off or uprooted along the path. A few outbuildings also had metal roofs partially removed.

A Tornado Warning was in effect from 339 pm until 415 pm.
