A National Weather Service Damage Assessment Team has surveyed the storm damage in Lee County. It has been determined the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated an EF-1 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds around 100 mph.

The tornado touched down briefly near the intersection of U.S. 280 and County Road 147 in the northwest portion of Lee County. One building sustained heavy damage when its metal roof was peeled off. One car was overturned at a car dealership and a few trees were snapped or uprooted.

No hail was reported with this storm.
