At 2258Z a subtle looking hook was starting to show up at the 0.5 degree slice. The tight reflectivity gradient had intensified and lengthened on the southern flank.

A mesocyclone was once again detected by the algorithm at the end of this volume scan. The highest V<sub>r</sub> to date with this storm showed up at 2.4 degrees (36 kts). The radial velocity at 0.5 degree elevation was in the shape of a well-defined hook!
