At 2258Z a subtle looking hook was starting to show up at the 0.5 degree slice. The tight reflectivity gradient had intensified and lengthened on the southern flank. |
A mesocyclone was once again detected by the algorithm at the end of this volume scan. The highest Vr to date with this storm showed up at 2.4 degrees (36 kts). The radial velocity at 0.5 degree elevation was in the shape of a well-defined hook! |
