Moores Mill Road EF-0 Tornado (Lee County)

Event Summary

National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in central Lee County and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado.

A weak tornado formed along Lee Road 413 north of Beauregard just south of Moores Mill Road, causing shingle damage and knocking down some branches.  The tornado crossed Moores Mill Road east of Alabama State Road 51. Several trees were uprooted as it crossed Lee Road 417 before dissipating.  The tornado was 1.07 miles long and was 150 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-0 with maximum winds around 100 mph.
