Here is you outlook for the next 7 days in north and central Georgia. Rain chances will peak early next week. Below average temperatures are expected through next Tuesday.
Northeast winds will continue to funnel cooler air into Georgia over the coming days. This will keep temperatures cooler than average across the state. The graphic above shows the expected high temperature departures from average for the Atlanta Metro.
Tropical moisture from the Atlantic will move back into the state over the weekend. This will set Georgia up for more widespread shower and thunderstorm activity early next week.
The latest update to the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook dropped Thursday. Given the storms we have seen so far, and the expected activity level for the rest of the year, there is an 85% chance of an average or above average season.
