A storm continues to produce rain and higher-elevation snow over parts of central/southern California through Monday afternoon. This system is also bringing Elevated fire weather conditions over parts of Southwest. Lake-effect snow is expected downwind from the Great Lakes, especially Lake Ontario. The overall weather system later this week is still on track to bring precipitation to the Panhandles. The potential for rain to be the dominant precipitation type from this system is increasing, however, there is still the potential for snow to mix in at times across the central. The northwestern Panhandles do have the higher potential for rain to transition to snow and may lead to light accumulations. There is still quite a bit of uncertainty with the system, but overall the potential for widespread accumulating snowfall is decreasing.

With approach of our next system, trends are still high on the chances of rain with the initial push. However, potential is still present for precipitation transitioning into snowfall, especially during the overnight period. This can lead to some minor impacts across the Panhandles, so make sure check back with us for the latest on this system.

Chances for snowfall continue to be present with this upcoming system. However with trends more focused on rain then snow, total accumulations have not been high. Still potential exists for snow totals to reach above half an inch, with the northwest seeing the best chances.
