Powerful Pacific System Impacting the West; First Significant Snow for Portions of the East

Power Pacific system will continue to bring significant impacts for Pacific Northwest into northern California the remainder of the week. Dangerous coastal affects, heavy rain, flooding, strong winds, and higher elevation mountain snow continues. As an update to the story published earlier this week on dew point records, the following table includes sites from Sioux Falls’ area as well. The day that story was published (8/1), Aberdeen and Sisseton tied their records. Notice that both Huron and Sisseton set records this summer. By comparing recent dew point temperatures to the records, this summer’s uncomfortable conditions can be confirmed!
