A powerful Arctic blast will bring dangerously cold, record low temperatures to the Gulf Coast, upper Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast U.S. into this weekend. Here's a review of October's weather at a few select locations. In short, October was a continuation of September with below normal precipitation and above normal temperatures across the board. Over the past 2 months, from September 1st through October 31st, Aberdeen (at the airport) has received just 0.21" of moisture which ranks as the 2nd least on record during this time (0.10" in 1952).
