Lake-effect snow will continue downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario through Friday. Lake Effect Snow Warnings have been issued. In the Western U.S., rain and higher elevation snow will continue over the Great Basin through Friday. Here's a review of October's weather at a few select locations. In short, October was a continuation of September with below normal precipitation and above normal temperatures across the board. Over the past 2 months, from September 1st through October 31st, Aberdeen (at the airport) has received just 0.21" of moisture which ranks as the 2nd least on record during this time (0.10" in 1952).
